Hi, my name is Marta, I am a midwife with 5 years experience in the obstetrics field. I am also a nurse and as such I have experience in areas as diversed as cardiology, emergency room, paediatrics or paediatric ICU. I trained as a midwife in London, where i then worked full time for two and a half years and where I still work part time one week a month. I have also worked in several public hospitals in Madrid, and I was part of the initial proyect of a small NGO called MOMS (make our mothers smile) with whom I participated in the sharing and transmission of skills and knowledge with african midwives in their work places. I have helped all kinds of women (and their partners and families) during low and high risk births. I have been present in home births , water births and hospital births and I have accompanied those same women when it has ended up being an instrumental birth or a cesarean section. My intention is to help you be prepared so you can experience the birth of your baby in the most positive way possible.
